Singapore super model Charmaine Harn strutted down the runway in a 15kg Swarovski encrusted gown. Tough job, but she did it with so much grace and elegance!

John Galliano’s Dior Haute Couture 2011

Dramatic hues, wild makeup, and glamorous gowns surrounded John Galliano's Spring 2011 Christian Dior Haute Couture 2011. Opening the show was model crush and current Dior face, Karlie Kloss in a  haute red number complimented by intense firey red makeup. Galliano’s couture designs for this season were inspired by illustrator Renee Grau, who worked closely with Christian Dior during his career.
From bright colors and head pieces to the darker hued reds, I (as always) loved all the looks from Galliano. As well, I loved seeing the sophistication of the pieces compared to the designer’s flowery fete for fall last season.
The make up is totally fantastic.

Art interpretation me

Using dots to add tone and shading to your fashion illustrations is a fun and simple way of re-creating a 1950s Pop Art look.

Art has always and will always imitate life - as well as other art.  Fashion and art are one in the same; fashion will forever be a medium for expression, interpretation and serve as an extension of ourselves.
